First time at this restaurant. Originally wanted to go to the La Grange location, but hate parking over there. Thursday morning around 9 am. Set down right away and waiter come out in about 3 minutes. Ordered the Nolo Omelet (possible special/limited time items this was on a piece paper and not regular menu.) Options were fresh fruit or hash browns and toast or pancakes....got the hash browns and pancakes. Omelet and pancake were hot and good. Hash browns was lukewarm/cold... the batch probably had been sitting for 15+ min as I don't think this was freshly made like the eggs and pancakes. (even after 10 min my eggs were warm but hash-browns was cold by this time.) Liked the decor and service as it was speedy and prompt. Notice a Yelper mention they had gotten the bill 7 minutes after getting their food....I think I got mine about 5 min after but she did say no rush when she placed it down on the table. (Not a problem for me as this is a typical practice when I sit at the bars....easy to pay my bill and get out vs having to wait 5-10 minutes when I want to walk out the door) REAL Fresh Orange Juice as they make it right there with the machine in the front but conveniently out the way from guest. My only small gripe would be the pitcher of water I notice several were already prepared with ice in the waiter section but there was no cover over the top. small pet peeve. Not a breakfast person so I doubt I'll ever be caught here on a Saturdayor Sunday morning/Special occasion, but if I did I don't think I would be patient enough to wait more then 10min if I had to come here.

My friend got a GroupOn deal here so we grabbed brunch on a random Sunday. It was pretty packed but we got a table for 3 without a wait. Service was great and food came out pretty quickly after we ordered. I got the Denver skillet and the portion was huge. My friends got other types of skillet/omelette and it all came with a side of English muffin/toast.. The portions are huge here because we all couldn't finish our food and had to take it to go. The pricing is pretty fair and with the GroupOn deal, it is even cheaper! You pay up front so after the waitress gives you your receipt, go to the front and pay when you are ready. Spacious parking lot so it is easy to find parking.

My friends from school kept telling me how Blueberry Hill Breakfast Cafe is one of the best breakfast joints near campus. I got a blueberry/banana waffle for my first visit and it was alright. The second time, one of my friends had a coupon so we decide to come back and I got a skillet and once again, the food was alright. I do not want to be mean, but the quality of the food was OK, nothing too special.

We love this place for Sunday brunch. It's busy but you usually get seated in 10 minutes. They have very good Eggs Benedict and great fluffy omelettes. They have fresh squeezed juices that are delicious. Service is great! It's a cute place that I would highly recommend!

This is one of our favorite places for breakfast. Even though it is always very busy, service is exceptional.

Pretty disappointed at our experience here. This was recommended by a friend, and we saw it mentioned in an article. It's a small chain and we decided to try this location out on our way west. The service was OK, the ambience OK enough (it's very much like every other place with a similar menu). But the food was dreadful. You can tell everything was made with some kind of mix - from eggs to pancakes to potatoes, everything had that overly processed, weird tasting flavor about it. I had an English Breakfast and in that, the cottage fries were undercooked, the sausage had clearly been badly freezer burnt, and the bacon had clearly been made an hour before and sat under a lamp. (My fellow diners suspect their meals were also precooked and sitting cold, since plates were hot and food was cold.) Sorry, but if you have issues making potatoes/hashbrowns properly, then you can't even handle the basics.

I gave Blueberry Hill one star for one simple reason. This is the perfect spot to come if you are on a budget. Unfortunately, the reasons I did not enjoy my breakfast experience far outweigh the price. 1. Our server did not even slightly make us feel welcomed. When we were ready to order, her exact words were: "what do you want?" She brought us our food, never checked to see how it was, never offered a refill on coffee, and didn't even feel the need to bring us our check. However, she did have time to converse with staff and use her cell phone. 2. The food was not fresh. The avocado in my omelette had a texture that I cannot describe in any other word other than nasty. I pulled out pieces of tomato that were literally rotten. 3. My buttermilk pancakes had a red gel of sorts spread across the top. This was nicely "hidden" on the bottom of the pancake. However, as a pancake lover I know the best way to butter pancakes is on the side facing the plate because it is warmer- therefore it will melt the butter. I attempted to brush it off and was able to do so with 90% success... (Check out my pictures). 4. After picking at my food for about 7 minutes, the bill was dropped off at my table. The server did not say anything. She just plopped it down between some plates and kept moving. She had no idea that we were planning on ordering something new since my food was quite a failure. I will not be back, nor will anyone that I was dining with. I am shocked to have received such underwhelming food and poor service in such an affluent area. Definitely not what I expected.

Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day. I take breakfast food very seriously. I love this place for breakfast food. I've ordered the philly cheese steak skillet many times and it is always delicious. I've also had their steak and eggs and I was pleasantly surprised at how tender and flavorful the steak was. Ive also nibbled on friends crepes and french toast and I found them good as well. My only complaint is the service. Its hit or miss. Either you get a server who is very attentive or you get the one who takes your order and forgets about you. I have been to their other locations and I havent been disappointed. Definitely love going back.

Had the tilapia tacos no flavor. I don't think I want to go back again.

Service was excellent! I had the King omelette which was very good. Perfect potion of meats & cheeses, and plated very nicely as well. My wife got her usual a fresh squeezed glass of apple juice that she enjoyed and a made to order skillet. My 5 star rating is mainly comprised of the fast and courteous service. We sat immediately, waited on right pretty soon after we sat down, and my coffee cup was always full. Very good experience overall. This is our 4th or 5th time here and we have always had this level of service!

We were glad to get a table here on a rainy Saturday morning. While we thought not many people would be out, Blueberry Hill was still jumpin'. The first thing we noticed after being seated, was our incredibly close proximity to the table beside us. So close, I felt like we should introduce ourselves to our neighbors. Don't worry, I refrained...but, yea, not a whole lot of privacy there. Out waitress, Victoria was friendly and helpful when I asked her for reviews of some of the dishes. She kept our coffee hot and full, which I appreciate. The rest of the service was lacking, unfortunately, as we were never given enough water cups or utensils for everyone at our table, even after asking. The food we had was just alright. Writing this some time after our visit, it was unmemorable. One tip, if you are seeking a changing table...there are two sets of restrooms, one off the main dining area and one off the back dining room. Only the restrooms off the main dining room have a changing table, so if you use the smaller restroom, persevere and keep looking!

I ate here once a couple weeks ago and it was very good. I really enjoyed the food I got the service was fairly good and the price was fair. I like that the food came fairly quickly. I will definitely come again

We ended up here the morning after our friend's wedding. We had 13 people in our group and it was Labor day, so it was kind of hard to find a place that would take us all stat! (seriously, so hungover and ready for food and no one really wanted to wait). B Blueberry Hill told us to just call before we were coming and they would start setting up a table. When the first car got there, they said there was another group (of 12) and whoever had the entire party get there first, would get the table.... we won!! Anyways, the food was decent breakfast food (was wonderful at the time because ... like i said... major hangover). But, the service was less than ideal. I understand we had 13 people and we were definitely patient, but our server responded to requests with attitude, was abrupt, and not friendly (until the end, of course, when she knew tip time was coming up). It wasn't until about 25-30 minutes after we were seated, that someone had to request water, to which she replied "obviously, I'm bringing you some"- one would think that's the first thing out, so sorry we were asking? The coffee was good. A large part of the table got a fresh strawberry juice (I didn't try it), but they all raved about it! Everyone enjoyed their meals. I made my own scramble with jalapeños, avocados, peppers, onions, and spinach and it was great. It took a while to get everything out, but like I said, we had a table of 13, so it was definitely understandable. All in all, an okay place with meh service. It's unlikely that I'll be looking for a breakfast spot in Oak Brook again anytime soon, but if I am, I'll probably try to find something different.

Very clean and spacious. I can easily see us doing an event brunch here. Huge menu. Had the country fried steak. Never again, unless you're starving! It's huge! Our oldest had green eggs and ham. She loved it. I'm sure it was fun to eat. Our baby threw her French toast on the floor. As kids do, but my husband also ordered it and said it was delicious. Our friendly waitress, Amy, was so great. We had some fun conversations with her. Her and the food is what s going to keep us coming.

Ok breakfast place. Service was quick and cheerful. Had the English breakfast, which included; 2 bacons, 2, sausages, sliced tomatoes, home fries, an English muffin and suppose to be 2 eggs. I actually received 5 eggs! Hardly any room on the plate for anything else. Not sure how this could happen but a nice surprise, even if I only ate 1 of the extra eggs.

Great place for breakfast! People are nice, portions are large, and you can usually get in pretty quick.

My wife and I had breakfast here yesterday and both of us agree that it was nothing to get excited about.. and quite expensive for breakfast. The reviews here were all better than the service and the food quality we experienced. Food portions are large but my omelette was just okay and the pancakes were boring.. My wife had potato pancakes which she said were just so so and she ordered back but was brought out sausage on her breakfast plate. The place was very busy and maybe we just ordered the wrong items but based on this experience we will not return....

Awesome place for breakfast. Great food and staff is very friendly. Waited less then 5 mins to be seated. Made me feel like family as soon as you walk in. Freshly squeezed orange juice is great. I had the biscuits and gravy with a side of sausage which hit the spot. Try a slice of blueberry pie. Taste of heaven with a glass of ice cold milk. I recommend this place for breakfast and lunch. Great kids menu.

I've been here a handful of times, and I have to say that I've never had a meal where I said "that was a damn good meal" when I left. Most recently, I had the steak and eggs. Eggs were gross. I ordered it over medium and parts of it were overcooked and parts of it weren't cooked at all. The skirt steak, which I ordered medium, was dry and the potatoes were mushy. The pancakes kinda just fell apart and had no texture. I've had better meals here but it's gotten progressively worse. They didn't even bring us water. We had to ask when the waitress brought the food to us. The server was fairly prompt and pleasant but seemed distracted. They could've been spread thin so I don't hold that against them too much. The coffee was good. The Labriola cafe/bakery, which is in the same strip mall, seems like a better choice.

Rotten service and rude hostesses make this place a standout for morning misery. The hostess with long curly hair was rude and obnoxious. Our whole party was there and she was still seating other same sized parties before us, even though we were there first! Then, while we were waiting a rotten toothed waitress grabbed my toddler by the arm and removed her from the area we were waiting. It was 8:50am and the restaurant was half full. Since I was ready to get physical with the rotten toothed waitress, we left without even eating. From the reviews, the food is mediocre at best so probably a good thing. Save yourself an arrest record and head over to Labriola for excellent service and high quality organic food.

Good food, great service with decent prices. Was also able to get a very tasty GF waffle substituted for toast.

Dude, screw Denny's and IHOP. I just tried this place for the first time. It's flippin' delicious. I had french toast, bacon, and eggs. There was nothing special about the eggs; but the french toast and bacon... perfect. The french toast was smaller than expected but the taste made up for it and it was still plenty. The bacon was bigger than expected. Also, you have to try the strawberry-orange juice. It was so fresh. I loved it. And we had great service. No complaints. ps: I went to the one next to Embassy Suites on Butterfield. ~LP

I've often gone to the Blueberry Hill in LaGrange. Yet with Groupons available for the Oak Brook location, I decided to try that spot out a few times. The host and waitstaff experience has been fine (i.e. downright cheery) and I liked some new menu options, but this location seems to be lacking in the execution department. On previous visits, I had not been happy with the pancakes. The texture seemed a bit off in comparison to how they are served up BH LaGrange. Yet my last visit confirmed my unimpressed opinion. We arrived before the brunch rush. Even so, my party had to avoid obvious floor spillage when clamoring into a booth. Then, I ordered a CALIFORNIA SKILLET (goat cheese, sun-dried tomato, spinach, about $9.50). I asked for avocado added ($1.00), but an ample amount really did not arrive. The potatoes were cold in the skillet. To their credit, I received a replacement quickly. My mother's bacon looked half the usual length and not at all appetizing. The replacement was a limp improvement. BH Oak Brook is okay, but could be a lot better if there was more attention paid to the details.

Great food and service. Prices were good and food was great! Our server was tentative without stalking us. Our food was done quickly and it was served HOT. I love my food at a hot temp so that was a plus. Would recommend and would definitely go again!

My husband and I went there last weekend as part of my birthday celebration. I had purchased a Groupon but while we were driving there I noticed in the fine print you cannot use it on a Sunday. I looked at the other Groupon I had and Juicy had the same rule too. Since we have been to Juicy several times and loved it we thought we would give the other guys a try. We should have turned around to Juicy's!!!!!!!!!!!! First the host who was a younger woman with a black lace dress and kind of a nude under layer. Not appropriate for a breakfast place, more like club wear. She did not welcome us. Just asked how many people, then took us to a table slapped the menus down and left. No smile, no your waitress will be with you shortly, nothing! What a joke! Next the waitress, again no smile, not really friendly wanted our order, but when we asked for more time, she asked about coffee. One item I did notice allot about this waitress over the course of our time there, is that she like to talk with other waitresses around the soda fountain area. You could not get her attention, so I gave up after awhile but they were always in a heated discussion. When she took our order my husband and I had the strip steak. He had Medium Well and I took the Medium. We were surprised by how fast our order came out. It did not seem that long to cook a steak. That made me wonder if they cook them alittle ahead of time, then finish on the grill. Well the real reason I found out after about 5 bites, actually both of us did. They started off with the right cooking but you got to almost the middle and it was not cooked, by the end it was so bloody, it was gross. My husband's was the same way, remember he was Medium Well. Well, we were already eating and not loving our experience so we took it home and cooked them properly. Not that I could get the waitresses attention if I wanted to. There was no way our steaks should have been that way, The eggs were a hit and miss too. My husband's sunny side up had two that were over easy. He was ok with that but I am not a running egg person, so that is why I order then hard. Like another reviewer I was handed the check a bit too fast after getting the food, granted she said something, but I thought it was out of place or she was trying to leave for the day. I saw other waitresses greet people warmly. I just don't know about this place. For the $30 we paid for breakfast I want a friendly service to match. It was not busy, and early in the morning around 10am on Sunday, so that should have not been an issue.

The food is decent here. I was not too impressed with the service. They told us it would be about a 20 minute wait and then had us wait for an hour. Then they took a while to take our order. They also split our party up. Not cool I'll try it again and post my second experience

$38 for breakfast for 2 is outrageous. Food is mediocre. Coffee soso. Juices okay. Service average. Go to Honey Jam west of this place for better food. Labriola cafe in the same shopping center had 5 times as many cars outside it as Blueberry hill. And Labriola is not really known for breakfast. Nothing else was open here as it was 7am. These were all breakfast cars.

Since I've been to most of the other b-fast places around (Juicy-O, Pulp Kitchen, Honey Jam), I had to try this place. For someone who is horribly indecisive, their massive menu + weekly specials did not help me decide on a dish! Do I want the amazing-looking banana nut french toast? How about the chicken and waffles with sweet potato fries? Or maybe this or that? Sigh. I ended up choosing the California West Eggs Benedict (or something named like that). It had avocado = California, apparently. I don't know, ask the California Roll. I did ask for Canadian ham vs. the bacon that comes with it; they were happy to substitute that for me. I was glad mine came with a whole side of fruit, which was one of my deciding factors. Every other dish here comes with a tiny sliver of cantaloupe, but I got the most! Muahahah! I still like Pulp Kitchen's steak and eggs benedict over this one tho... My friend got the chicken and waffles. He said the chicken didn't have much meat, but the waffle was pretty delicious!! The banana nut french toast is pretty delicious, too, if you like banana bread. Nothing really stood out except maybe the quantity of dishes and banana french toast, but I would probably come here again to try something new. Their service is good. We had a large group, and they were very accommodating. They gave us individual checks without us even having to ask. :)

This place is definitely one of my go-to breakfast spots. The service is always good and the food is always great. I've been here about six times, with both small groups and large groups, and they are always accommodating and fast! No one has every been disappointed with what they ordered. Skillets are good, omelets are good, pancakes are good. Potato pancakes are REALLY good!

This place is great! Its a super cute breakfast place! The place was extremely crowded, so I thought the wait was going to be Forever but as soon as I gave my name 10 minutes later I was seated. The server was more then friendly and very informative about the menu. The manager as well was upfront and welcoming and chatting with customers really shows that not only does the staff care but so does the manager about their customers. I highly recommend getting the freshly squeezed oranges, and the best pancakes! its not like typical chain restaurants or too big that they lose the sense of good food and good service they are everything and more.

Great great food. The food was out to us so fast! The food was great. Wish the nutella crepes had more nutella that was my only gripe.

Went there twice for lunch First time and second time were both nice experience First you can't expect anything more than breakfast items , this isn't a steakhouse The waffle was just so good soooo good. I had plain ones put on some white butter they are perfect Small portion place. If you need American regular HUGE portion that gets you fats go somewhere else this is not for you Latte is ok If you want something healthy, less salt less oil less fats give them a try

I had seen this place advertised on groupon but didn't purchase. However I kept the place in memory as I really wanted to try it. A friend and I were out to dinner at another restaurant I saw the place and was ecstatic. So the next morning I had early morning service due to it being Holy Week at the church. The place was open, easy parking, and sat down quickly. Note it was 6:30 am so not a big issue on seats.smile. The customer service was impeccable the food not so great. When my food came out the first thing I noted was the bacon was overcooked almost burned the young lady took it immediately to get a not so crisp bacon. While I waited for the food I saw a hair not only on my pineapple slice but on the bed of lettuce the fruit was resting on. When I pointed it out the waitress immediately took the whole plate of food and had them cook again. I can say the pancakes were great and when my new breakfast came out it looked okay. Some of the bacon was still overcooked but eggs were great. I didn't eat the fruit even when they replaced it because it gave me the icky willies. All and all good service subpar food. Wouldn't return there but will try the Lagrange one as yelp reviews said good.

My sister wanted to try this place badly but after being in here for two minutes I could tell this was going to be a bad experience! 1. We were not greeted at all! This gentleman who I believe was the manager (to make matters even worse) just grabbed two menus and said "follow me" um ok good morning to you to?! 2. I had my 3 month old son with me in his car seat and not once does he offer to bring a high chair or swing until we mention it! Ok that's fine, but then he decides to scream at an employee across the room! Um great management! Not! Take your employees aside and speak to them like humans not like animals! How can I enjoy my breakfast with you yelling at your employees across the room?? And this is the manager?? Jeez 3. Waitress was ok. After all this commotion how could I even taste their food?? Eh I got the club sandwich it was the same as the one at Denny's! Nothing fancy, overpriced, horrible service! Stay away!

You can always count on Blueberry hill, or Burberry Hill as I call it, for cheat and plentiful food. They got this impressive orange juice juicer as tall as Obama (probably not that tall) that is screaming "TRY SOME OF OUR ORANGE JUICE." I typically go to the original burberry hill on kingery and this place is just as good.

While it was never an unbelievable experience, my family of 4 had regular breakfasts here about two weekends a month for about a year. The last 4 visits have really been bad - mostly, the entire order is freezing cold. I'm a mom with two preschoolers, so I'm used to eating less than hot meals after getting everyone settled - it's not this. My daughters eggs this mornings were cool - not even warm - the second they came to our table. We said something, and they responded by passing out balloons to every other child in the restaurant but ours. We just paid our bill, left the food and went somewhere else to eat. One bad experience didn't sour us.... It's been going downhill for some time. Also, you can't trust a breakfast place that can't make pancakes, and theirs have always sucked.

  • Amanda C.

My absolute favorite breakfast place to go to (almost) every Sunday. Even if the place is packed you are seated relatively fast, the servers greet you at the table right away, and after you order, the food comes out in 10 minutes or less.- not to mention the food is delicious every time.

  • Daniel R.

Terrible experience. The layout of this restaurant is so cramped that we could not sit in the 2-top booth we were given. Incredibly uncomfortable seating. The menu was poorly written. Very difficult to understand what was included with each menu item, and neither my wife or received a meal that we thought we'd ordered. Service was very prompt and attentive, and the quantity of food was generous...but the quality was poor. Greasy eggs, bitter coffee. It just meant we left most of the meals on the plate. Almost inedible.

From the minute I walked in the door, I felt like an inconvenience. The waitress took her time greeting me and when she did, I felt as if I was annoying her. When I asked her for a chai tea (which was straight from the menu), she didn't know what it was that I wanted. When I finally was able to explain that I simply wanted hot water and a chai tea bag, she brought it to my table without even acknowledging my "thank you." As far as the food goes, it was fine, but nothing special. I ordered the fresh blueberry French toast, which was 6 triangles of French toast with a small cup of blueberries. I've had better, I've had worse. I don't think I'll be coming back when I'm in the Chicago area again.

I continue coming to this location instead of the lagrange one that is actually closer to me. Yes I always ask to be seated with Debbie she is awesome. Great service and makes you feel at home. All the ladies there are sweethearts and the food just keeps on getting better and better. I definitely recommend this place. A must stop restaurant

Ive been to their LaGrange locations a few times, has a lil country, home feel to it but this one on the other hand is lights out. It sits in a brand new strip mall only a couple yrs old, next to Kona Grill. Very modern fixtures & tables but kinda like an updated IHOP, with better design. Tried the Lenten special, croissant breakfast & the Captain Crunch French toast. The croissant sandwich was buttery & tasty and had scrambled eggs, avocado, red & green peppers, and provolone cheese. The French Toast stole the show! It had Captain Crunch cereal crumbs on them with fresh bananas & chopped strawberries(see my pics). Overall the food was really gud & I'll definitely be back!

Great breakfast place for ladies who lunch. The portions are a nice size and the food has that extra touch that makes it homey. I love the egg Benedict. Usually at other breakfast places they tend to be too soupy or not enough hollandaise sauce. These were great! Anyway, this is now my friends and my go to place for a weekday breakfast.

Great place for brunch and top notch quality. This place has only been open since December 2012 we were told, but first review looks like from October and close enough. Anyway, they have a busy, vibrant atmosphere with good clientele, and they handle crowds efficiently. There is a little hassle factor here though as parking is busy and tight in this strip mall complex that also houses Labriola Bakery and a bunch of other restaurants. We also noted to manager that their German pancake was more like crepes served with a lemony syrup (it has worked at other Blueberry Hills). Not what we expected, and it probably should not be called German pancake, and manager nicely said they will consider offering the more normal serving. I also had the omelette with avocado, and that was great. Will be back when in area and targeting brunch.

This place is very nice and cozy for breakfast. Everyone is so very nice and helpful and the food is pretty good. The only oops! was that the cook could not cook my eggs exactly right with 3 times trying.

Very good breakfast while on a trip to Oakbrook. Quick and good, our waitress was very nice only comment is it would have been nice to have a second cup of coffee before the bill came. The strawberry oj was good not great. I had a meaty scramble with a side of pancakes, it hit the spot. Will return when in the area.

Food is decent, I'd give it three stars. I got biscuits and sausage gravy topped with two scrambled eggs. I enjoyed it. My half German husband loved his German style pancakes which are a crepe style of pancakes with lemon filling. I'm giving an extra star because the manager greeted us immediately with a smile and provided us a high chair for our baby. He also ended up giving us a $2 discount on our meals as a complimentary gesture. :)

I enjoyed my breakfast/brunch at their sister location in LaGrange so I was looking forward to having breakfast here. Just as I expected for a Sunday morning--busy! But our wait was quoted at 10 minutes and it really was just about 10 minutes before they called our name. I have to give a shout out to the manager and hostess, they are really on top of their game. I watched them check out the restaraunt/check the list and really keep the flow of diners in and out so well. Yeah, you can say this place runs like a machine. Everything was timely, highchair coming to the table, water, coffee, server, meals. Wow and double wow. The food did not suffer at all. I ordered the veggie skillet with Greek Toast and my husband ordered the Green Eggs and Ham (pesto scrambled eggs with ham mixed in) and upsized his side of pancakes to blueberry pancakes. Everything was very good. Although my skillet was under-seasoned, but really I would prefer that over it being over salted. The veggies were cooked perfectly, still a bit crisp and not overdone. I didn't try the pancakes--not a fan of blueberry. But I did try the green eggs and ham and if you like basil, this is for you. It was wonderful. Very Yummy. Coffee was good, piping hot and refills aplenty. They even let us take a cup to-go. I would also say that maybe my husband has an admirer. Why do servers do this? Every time she came to the table, she only addressed him. "would you like more coffee?" Hey, I would! "Does your son need anything else?" Hey, do you see me feeding our son some pancakes? Maybe you should ask me! No worries my yelp friends, I did not let her get the best of me, every time she asked my husband a question, I would answer. But alas, she did not get the point. Our meal didn't suffer, but it was just kind of annoying.

An extensive menu with standard brunch classics and a few eclectic stand-outs to flip the script with a friendly and attentive wait staff, ready and willing to make your dining experience great? What's not to like here? I ordered the Fiesta Skillet with scrambled eggs. In no time flat, a heaping portion of egss with onions, peppers, cheese, and delicious chorizo with salsa verde and Greek style toast appeared. I asked my server if it was for somebody else who ordered it earlier by mistake, but she smiled and assured me it was made hot and fresh just for me. One nice touch: Any of the omlettes or skillets can be ordered with two pancakes if you don't want toast and you can't decide between savory or sweet for brunch. This is one of those times to be glad for "American-sized" portions. Gotta go back and see how their lunch menu is.

I went there last Friday for breakfast and it was okay nothing special. When we first sat down I poured the water before seeing that the glasses were filthy. I was a little worried about the meal but it was good and the service was so fast. I don't know if I would go back, not for any reason but their are other places that are cheaper. I didn't think the portion's where huge just average. I would have given it 4 stars if not for the glasses.

Service was good, food was ok. The floor was filthy. Manager said they had a busy lunch I don't like sitting in someone else's mess!

Please give this place a try if you're looking for a good breakfast option. They have excellent food, and good sized portions. You're definitely not walking out of here hungry. I normally go for breakfast and don't need to eat again until dinner. You really can't go wrong with anything on the menu, and I've tried a lot of it. The other great think about Blueberry Hill is that they support a ton of local organizations. I got a $6 gift-certificate here from a local middle school fundraiser. If you're going to stop by for food, I highly recommend checking out the store at goboostershot.com . You can get a gift-certificate while supporting a great local organization. It's definitely a win-win.

Had breakfast. Farmers Skillet: Ham, which was fatty, potatoes, and toast. The toast had spinach on the plate, which by the way was not an ingredient.

I went here because there was a Groupon for $8 for $15. I am so glad I did. I had the banana walnut waffle and it was delicious. My fiancé had pumpkin pancakes and enjoyed them, but agreed that my waffle was better. They have pear juice which was really good among other creative, interesting juices. There was a little bit of a wait at 10 am on a Saturday, which is expected. I bought another Groupon and we will definitely return.

Breakfast was OK, overpriced a bit. Coffee was poor. Waitress gruff and took forever to refill (poor) coffee. Cheerful atmosphere.

Hubs and I have gone here many times. Yesterday was our most recent. They have amazing OJ and we love the build your own breakfast. It comes with eggs, a pancake, waffle, or French toast and a choice of meat. Gluten free options are available and even though I'm supposed to be GF I got French toast. It was amazing. Best thing about this place are the fact that they are on Groupon and you earn triple miles through United's Mileage Plus Dining program. Score!!

I had to check out this place since there are a handful of other breakfast locations around the neighborhood. Hands down if you're looking for fast, delicious food, look no further. From sit down to paying the check, the entire experience was 45 minutes. Mind you I met a friend for breakfast and had my munchkin along so it could have been even quicker if I needed it to be. If you like healthy pancakes, this is the place to go. Their walnuts are huge and plentiful, all over the 4 stack of whole whet pancakes mixed with oatmeal. Add bananas and you won't be disappointed! The only thing that stands out that was a rather disappointing part of the experience is that my coffee cup never got another drop of coffee after the first pour. If I didn't love the taste and enjoy every single sip it wouldn't have been a big deal... But I do.

I was excited about coming here after getting a Groupon, and I invited my dad to come with me. I love blueberries and I love breakfast, so this had to be a double-win, right? Sadly, it was not. I think I had the opposite experience from what others with this rating had. We were greeted right away, and Hillary, our waitress, was really awesome and attentive. Sorry to say, the food was not a match. I had the custom "blue plate" item where you pick your eggs, meat, and side - I ordered eggs over-medium (brown on the bottoms, one was runny around the yolk); sausage links (odd taste & weird, bumpy texture); half-order of biscuits & gravy (super salty-sweet biscuits with weird-ass gravy that did not taste like sausage gravy - Dad agreed); and then a side of potatoes which had to be ordered extra. I actually liked the potatoes - they were steamy on the inside, browned on the outside. Dad got eggs over easy, ham, pancakes, and potatoes. He ate his food and took home his leftovers, so I guess he liked it, but he didn't seem like he loved it. Hillary came by several times to see how everything was, and she was great about freshening up our coffee. She even asked first before adding to mine - which was awesome, because I hate when you get your coffee all fixed up just right, and then they come along and dump in more coffee - throwing off the whole balance of the beverage! I ended up mentioning that I didn't care for the biscuits & gravy so she graciously offered to replace them with something else; I got pancakes to take home. Oh, and I thought we were given 4 eggs each, but Hillary said "they're supposed to be double-yolk." Interesting way of saying that...they looked like 4 separate eggs, and I thought double-yolk eggs had the yolks touching or really close together, so I'm not convinced these are actual double-yolk eggs. I think Hillary was correct in that they were "supposed to be" that. I think if she could have, she might have used air-quotes, LOL! The bill (without the Groupon) was $25 + $5 tip, which I think is kind of a lot for what we got, but I'm cheap and this is Oakbrook, so my opinion there probably doesn't count for much. I also hate to discourage anyone from supporting a business, but I really would not recommend this place - nor will I be coming back. There are too many other choices around (hello, Egg Harbor?!!) to be taking chances on having another meh meal. I'll give 3 stars since my dad didn't complain about his meal ;)

I really enjoy meeting friends here for breakfast. For a Gluten Free gal, they really have great GF waffles, great taste, great texture and I always get fresh blueberries with them. The wait staff are very nice. It does get crazy busy, but it is definitely worth the wait!

I came here on a weekday morning and there were only two other tables that were occupied. There were 4 of us at the same table and 2 Groupons but our waitress allowed us to use both of them anyway. The service was quick and they were relatively generous with their portions--none of us could finish our food although we tried our best...and I found myself a victim of major food coma shortly after. Needless to say, I'll be visiting again to try something else off their expansive menu.

Quite possibly the BEST!! breakfast joint in the area!! And everyone knows it! Wait can be long to get a table..but sooooo worth the time invested!! Fairly new..picked up where a taco place left off (enjoyed their food too! was a little bummed that they didn't make it! Guess it's hard to compete with overrated Uncle Julios across the street! ;) ) -- Anyways! Back to Blueberry Hill! Have eaten here twice since they've opened..and both times, the experience was the same. Super fresh and tasty!! food..great organic coffee..and great service! For a busy little place, they handle it well! Today I tried their sundries tomato, spinach and artichoke skillet with goat cheese ;) -- Had to be one of the most amazing breakfasts I've ever had!! Polished off the leftovers a little later ;) - Everything here is great however..and they have something for everyone! Country fried steak, biscuits and gravy..awesome! Omelettes..taaasstttyyy! and not greasy! Real cheese! Not processed crap here!! And their juice! You GOTTA try the juice!! Went out of the norm of their freshly squeezed Orange juice this morning (delicious!!) ..and checked out the Orange/Carrot/Honey combo...boost of energy and super great too!! This place rocks breakfast!! Need to try their lunch next! :) --

This was our first and and will be our last visit. We both had the full English breakfast, which may have been prepared in England given that the eggs, bacon, sausage and coffee were all cold. The potatoes were the only thing that was hot and they tasted oily.

There aren't a lot of places to meet for breakfast in Oak Brook that are modestly priced. The hotels have inflated price breakfast menus and generally "ok" quality food. Most of the Oak Brook restaraunts aren't generaly open for traditional sit-down breakfast. The Blueberry Hill Breakfast Cafe, located in the Promenade center across from Dicks Sporting Goods, has been very convenient place to meet colleagues, clients and prospects. The servce is friendly, and the food is delicious, all across the menu. I highly recommend BHBC for business or family looking for a modestly priced alternative in Oak Brook.

I can't believe I forgot to write about Blueberry Hill! This place is the bomb! I went here because I bought there groupon which is a great deal I think 8 for 15 which is totally enough for two people! They have the best hot chocolate ever, the decor is cute with warm pastel colors. You better come in hungry though because the portions are huge! I've been here several times but I can't assure you that everything there is good. The only down side is that they make it sound like the sweet breakfasts are our of this world sweet and fantastic and I think they're not sweet enough but that's only because I have such a sweet though. I sincerely recommend visiting Blueberry Hill; you won't be dissapointed.

I bought the $10 for $20 Groupon for the Oakbrook location based on a couple pleasant dining experiences at the Darien location with a co-worker. The waitress at the Oakbrook location was very polite. However, when I asked about several items in the menu photos she told me, to no fault of hers, that they were just generic photos. None of the photos on the menu represented any of the menu items. From a marketing perspective I found this very odd. I am unable to locate the Oakbrook online menu, but from memory I ordered a skillet that had potatoes, eggs, artichoke hearts, tomatoes, spinach and feta. It also came with pancakes. My son had Oreo Smore Pancakes with a side of sausage links and eggs. As we were waiting for our plates to arrive my son was playing with a couple toys and I noticed a thick layer of dust on the ledge looking over our table. Warning sign #1. About 10 minutes after ordering our plates arrived, which means most of the food was pre-cooked. Warning sign #2. As I took my first bite of food I realized the food was not even luke warm. Warning sign #3. My son said his food was fine because he didn't like his food too hot. I immediately notified my waitress and asked if I could have my food heated up. She was very pleasant and said that she would have the entire skillet prepared again. However, about five minutes later the waitress returned with a skillet. Warning sign #4. As I began to eat my food I realized that it tasted terrible. I could not eat it beyond a few bites. The artichokes tasted like they came out of a can and the tomatoes were dry and shriveled up. I left it for the waiter to dispose of. Against my better judgment, I also ordered the Turkey Club House sandwich with Sweet Potato Fries and Chicken & Dumpling Soup to go for lunch. I wanted to make sure I used the entire Groupon in one visit because it is a requirement of this particular one. When we were ready to leave it was so busy at the door I was not sure where the line was and whether people were waiting to check out or be seated. The cashiers were hasty and impersonal. As I was trying to find my Groupon the cashier moved on to take the next customer's payment. Then another cashier had to help me. He took my payment and whisked me out the door. That night my son awoke from his sleep vomiting. In addition to vomiting he also had a fever and diarrhea for two days. This was probably due to the pre-cooked food growing bacteria because it was not kept up to heat standards. I think this restaurant may need a visit from the health inspector. So, to make a long story even longer...I WOULD UNEQUIVOCALLY NOT RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT. If you are looking for a decent skillet at an economic price I would endorse Denny's here.

I had breakfast here and was DELIGHTED with both food quality & service! Susan was my waitress and was a pure delight...friendly and responsive. I had the Penelope Scrambler - egg whites with spinach, artichoke hearts, pine nuts, pesto and feta...it was a VERY generous serving but more importantly was cooked to perfection. Susan gladly added mushrooms and onions to the standard plate & also made it a point to be sure my coffee mug stayed full, despite taking care of a few tables. Wheat pancakes accompany the Penelope Scrambler. They came out only medium warm but were also delicious. I added fresh strawberries and asked for sugar free syrup...no problem. Crispy bacon order was also delivered just right but bacon was typical breakfast bacon, not particularly thick cut or distinctive. Overall a great breakfast with excellent service provided by Susan...I can't wait to come back. Delicious!

Just came back from breakfast, we use to go to the BH in LaGrange,(for about 10 years) but we love the atmosphere here, and it feels so much bigger. Its Sunday morning we enter roughly 7:40AM we go early as we want to avoid the screaming babies. We asked to sit in the second dining room, its empty, we WANT QUIET. We sit, our order is taken quickly without introductions, (kinda feel like we are interrupting the waitress). Anyway before our food arrives here comes a family w/2 kids under 5. The whole dining room is empty except for us, where do they seat them??? Yes, you guessed right next to us!!! Before the littlest kid is even in the highchair he begins shrieking at the top of his lungs, the second kid jumping up and down in the booth. So much for a quiet relaxing Sunday morning breakfast!!!!! Parents are oblivious do not even attempt to get the kids to settle down. I approach hostess station ask to be moved. We move to the opposite end of the dining room. Shrieking and jumping still going on but at the other end, not so bothersome. Our food arrives with the not so friendly server, I had ordered red velvet pancakes on the side, had to ask server for the cream cheese spread that usually comes with it, my adult daughter asked for a side of scrambled eggs with her French toast, they were a very hard scramble with a brown crunch to them. She never asked if everything was okay. Three quarters the way through the meal they sit another family with 2 kids right next to us. Okay now there are 4 tables/booths filled in this large dining room, we already moved once, and the hostess sits another family with 2 kids right next to us??? We could not get out of there fast enough, ask another server for boxes and check, and go. Speaking of the hostess one was dressed in a rather lovely dress however in the back her whole bra was showing, (just what you want to look at while you are eating) besides that her dress was very short, or she was too tall. On the way out, I asked WHY when they have the whole dining room, after we moved because of family with kids they would do that?? "Sorry" was the only response we got! The Manager came along into the conversation, he was about as helpful as the hostesses. Some people just don't get it, and never will, and these people are those people. Will I go back? I highly doubt it. Why drive 12 miles for breakfast for it to be an exercise in frustration.

First off my impression when we sat down was how friendly the staff was and how incredibly attentive they were. The portions were crazy big for me personally, but I guess you get more than your money's worth! I didn't find this place overall to be out of this world and found the food to be just as good as any typical old diner like Omega's or something, but I gave it 4 stars vs three because of the service. We came to the La Grange location, so I'm not sure how to compare with other locations. Would I come back, sure, but only if I was in the mood for breakfast food and was in La Grange again!

I came here on a groupon one Sunday early afternoon with my family. We enjoyed the quick seating and fast service. The portion size is definitely enough where you won't finish it all in one sitting unless you're extremely hungry. We bought ordered breakfast items, both my seafood omelet and pancake were good. I will come again while in the area shopping. However, in a food town like Chicago, breakfast joints are a dime a dozen these days, so I wouldn't say that I'll be making a special trip here.

My fiance and I went here with a Groupon on a Monday afternoon. The house staff was extremely personable, and the waitress was polite. Our order was taken within a few minutes of being seated. We didn't wait long for our food. Might I add our breakfast was great. The eggs benedict were Superb and my Denver Skillet was a mouthful, I had to take 3/4 of it home. If you are looking for a new breakfast spot, in which is extremely clean, from what I could tell. And the food and service is a plus, this is the place to go. We shall be returning.

Had to go back a rewrite a review, which I rarely do. Down to one star. Alex, our server was terrible, I would write more but suffice to say she did nothing right. Won't be back because when we tried to talk to the hostess, she seemed like she didn't care about our bad experience because they were busy.

Pretty good place for breakfast. Nothing super outstanding and memorable but nothing horrible either. Great service and gets very crowded on weekends. The fresh fruit makes plates more interesting. There is plenty of parking. The German pancakes are good and I like the fact that you can combine eggs with any if the specialty pancakes they have Available. Maybe starting to mimic the Chicago downtown YOLK restaurant is a good idea so the place looks trendier and plates can be more fun.

I'm surprised this place got such high reviews. I give it 2.5 stars and probably won't return. There are several other breakfast places in the area I would rather go to. The service was great and they have big portions of food. I ordered a skillet and pancakes. The food was very bland. The eggs and hash browns had no flavor at all. The pancakes were just ok, not fluffy or flavorful. Not worth another visit to me.

  • Toukta P.

This place was clean and very quaint. The service was good and seemed like the food came out fast. There wasn't much to rave about. I disliked that the waitress did not suggest us get the pitcher of juice instead of us three ordering 3 individual juices. The food was ok but nothing special. The groupon was nice but I ended up paying an additional $20 for food.

bad experience... but a few people that had been here before said it's usually really good. unfortunately, we didn't experience that on this visit. poor service was really the highlight here and we really over-tipped the waitress, guess it was her lucky day. I ordered the skirt steak and eggs and ordered it medium rare, but it came out well done.... yuck! everyone else said their food was good, so I guess I was the unlucky one out of the group. if we're back in the area, I'd be willing to give it another shot, but only because others had said it's usually better than this.

This is starting to be my family's new go to breakfast place. Service is always great and the food is great and not over priced. Servings are huge, wish they would offer a one egg and ham plate, because i just get way too full with two. I sometimes get away with ordering something from the kids menu, that to me is the perfect portion size (especially the oatmeal) Coffee is tasty, not too strong, not too weak. They have a variety of selections from crepes, to french toast, waffles, pancakes, skillets, benedicts, omelettes, etc.. and they have several lunch items. The place is very big so wait times aren't bad. The owners were in on a weekday and they were very friendly and helpful, getting water to tables, talking to my daughter, asking if anyone needed anything. They also have cholula, which is an A+ in my book. I hate tabasco sauce but I need my mouth to be on fire to truly enjoy my eggs :)

I love this place! I don't write many reviews but this needs to be told: Best menu, clean, friendly, nice decor! Breakfast or lunch choices are creative and delicious! Love the touches such as a flavored coffee at no additional charge, flexible with substitutions that are reasonable. Their specials menu has some great ones like Sandra's Scrambler or the Sante Fe Omelot. Lunch items just as good. It's a place you can go over and over to and never be bored. Love it!

Very good. I had the seafood omelet which was on special for Lent. The omelet was full of shrimp and crabmeat (it may have been fake crab, I don't know, but it was still delicious), as well as bell peppers and onions. It is topped with a perfect Hollandaise sauce and comes with a side of breakfast potatoes and a slice of fruit. It served with a side of English muffin. Great tasting meal, and a good portion.

Myself, husband and friends all enjoy the food and selection of fresh juices, however, it has been obvious to everyone I come here with over and over how inconsiderate the waitstaff and host/hostesses are! It is amazing that I can count on one hand how many times the waitress has ever said "thank you" - this is a place where they give you the food, pour the coffee which drips everywhere every time and they drop the bill, no "thank you" will ever come your way, it must be a company policy. My husband and I went there one Sunday and he was bumped THREE times by a hostess and never once did she say SORRY or EXCUSE ME, so yesterday dined there to let the host know about the string of visits I've had over the yrs, he just nodded and said "I see" To which I replied "you're not even saying 'I'm sorry'" and he said "I am". At the end of the day still didn't get a "thank you" or "I'm sorry", truly if you are ok w/being greeted w "how many?" And having a fast straight-forward dining experience this place will do! After yrs of going here I think I just am expecting more service and have grown weary of behavior from servers that is just rude, in my opinion. There are too many other similar restaurants in the area that I believe appreciate their customers more.

  • David L.

My family and I have eaten here countless times and the food is consistent. The portions are generous and always leftovers. This is a busy place on the weekends and there will be lines. On our last trip, I noticed Blueberry Hill trying to maximize seating capacity and squeezing in additional seats. this make for very narrow aisle and some impassable when carrying a baby and baby bag. If you enjoy good coffee, the organic coffee served here just does not pack the punch and good luck getting your cup filled without having to flag down the wait staff.

I LOVE this place! The people are so friendly and food is deeelish! I've been here a few times and each time has been wonderful. I'm picky about my breakfast food - (well done hash, egg whites, olive oil...you get it) and they always get it right. AND, the fresh squeezed orange juice is actually COLD! So many times, I've ordered it at other restaurants and it's warm - I understand why, but still, who likes warm OJ? Anyway, they are very clean and

We came here for breakfast and had to wait 10 mins for a table. I had the Huevos Chilliqueles. I ordered my eggs over easy but still got it scrambled. It was ok. Daughter ordered the Eggs Benedict Florentine and age thought it was good. Hubs ordered the Blueberry Bananas Waffles and thought it was ok. He was a bit ticked off that the waitress never brought his coffee over. Waitress wasn't too friendly.

Was counting on a decent breakfast place. Didn't find it. Most good pancake house have a solid list of staple breakfast items and they are good, not special but good tasting breakfast food. I did not care for the food at this place. Thought it was less than good. It was crowded so others must like it but I would not go back. I would go to Denny's before returning here.

Very pleased to see gluten free items on their menu. The portions are not big but the prices sure are high. However, the food was very good and the service was very good. They do get quite busy and the seating area is very strange and very crowded especially when you have people trying to pay for their order around that area too. I wish they'd re-arrange the waiting area. Sometimes you're seated facing people eating at their table that is nearby. That's uncomfortable. We tried the gluten free waffles and they were very good, so we'll be back....not too often due to the crowd and prices, but once in awhile.

I went here for brunch the other day. I got the Triple Berry Crepes and they were delicious. I also ordered a side of the hash browns, and I really did not like those. They were more like chunks of potatoes than hash browns in my opinion. But I definitely can't wait to go back again, as the menu had many other items that appealed to me. Service was fine. No raves or complaints on that. The place was almost empty, but we were there at on odd time, so I'm not sure what it's usually like. The atmosphere was very nice, clean, and bright. There was even a fresh carnation in a vase at our table. I would definitely recommend this place and I will be going back!

Been here twice now and I can safely say...they have good coffee. Their pancakes are pretty good esp. w/some kind of topping--blueberries anyone? Their eggs are fine but lacking taste. Don't confuse their breakfast potatoes w hash browns. They are the cubed and not very tasty or cooked long enough distant second cousin. Sausage patty=ok. Link=pass. Seriously doubt their sausage gravy is homemade. I've been too many places that taste exactly as theirs to believe it's made from scratch. Overall I would give them a B minus for the gravy & biscuit. Service both times very good. Prices reasonable. Fresh squeezed OJ is a home run.

Blueberry Hill has fantastic food, however, there were a few downfalls. We waited 45 minutes on a Sunday morning to get seated. At first we thought that was fine but then realized it was because the kitchen was slow and behind. We waited 45 minutes to get our food which seemed absurd. When we finally got our meals, the food was lukewarm and some of the orders were wrong. Great food, great recipes, but overall experience not so great.

Located in the prominent shops of Oak Brook Terrace, Blueberry Hill dishes up some extra sweet breakfast delights. Inside, sectioned off four person tables and booths aline the restaurant, while waitresses promptly greet their guests with a smile. I had the Bucci wrap, which, surprisingly, didn't really represent the photo. Chicken tasted rather bland, and their chicken dumpling soup was thin and not memorable. My guest had stuffed cream cheese french toast, which was creamy and rich. Topped with bananas and a dash of powered sugar, this buttery filled entree would be my recommendation. Insider tip: they're only open until 4pm, and fill up fast.

I officially love this breakfast place!!!! It's located right next to Kona Grill on Butterfield Road. The feel inside is very modern...Not your typical homey breakfast place...I got the red velvet pancakes with chocolate chips...It also came with cream cheese drizzle on the side!!! No typical syrup needed...The bacon was perfectly crisp as well...I will most definitely be back here...I hear there's a location in Lagrange but I'm feeling already partial to this location!!!

I had the Rocky Mountain Crepes... The worst Crepes I have ever had. The Crepes were sweet and the filling was salty... Weird combo ... Usually salty Crepes are made with a savory crepe dough. Also the food was out in 2 minutes which leads me to believe that a lot of the stuff is pre-cooked and microwaved

Tried the breakfast here on a Saturday morning and it was good! The skillets are big enough to share and tasty as well. Service was quick and responsive...a big plus being it gets crowded here.

The food here is well made, comes in large portions, and is reasonably priced. Healthier than typical breakfast fare and the fresh squeezed juice is a draw. Wait staff is quick, friendly and attentive.

I've eaten at their Homer Glen, Darien, former Bridgeview and now their new Oakbrook Terrace locations. This review is for the latter, since it is the newest one. The restaurant is the nicest one inside of the locations I've visited. The prices here are slightly higher than the others, given the area but are still very reasonable for the amount of food you get for the money. I highly recommend their omelets and banana nut bread french toast. Actually, all of their breakfast food is great, so order what you like. I bet it will be very good. This is one of my favorite breakfast places anywhere.

Let me start by saying that the food at Blueberry Hill is outstanding, and will bring me back again (this is why I am giving two stars instead just one). Usually the service is alright too; not great, but what you would hope for from a breakfast cafe. Today, however, the service was absolutely atrocious. Our servers were wise to not tell us their names, because otherwise I would have no problem mentioning them here. My date and I were greeted fairly quickly, but she had not had a chance to look at the menu and asked for more time. We then sat for 30 minutes, being completely ignored (we needed about 3 minutes to decide on our entrees). Well, not completely ignored; our server stopped beside our table (with her back to us) and had an argument with another server, basically saying she did not want to take us because she was about done for the day (that certainly made us feel welcome). Thankfully the other server agreed to take us from there, though, again, she was in no hurry to come take our order. The first server apparently didn't have any sidework or other tables, because she stopped to watch tv (again, right next to our table) for a few minutes. Anyway, eventually we got our orders in, the food came quickly, and we enjoyed our meals. Unfortunately, I dropped my fork on the floor during the meal. Two servers looked in my direction, but neither felt compelled to bring me a new fork (one of these two servers, again, was the tv-watching, table-ignoring server we initially got); I eventually took a fork off a neighboring table, since I really was given no other choice. We finished eating, sat and chatted for maybe 10 more minutes, then got up to leave; the final turn of the screw on our experience came when we saw a very large cream spill, right in the middle of a fairly high-traffic area, being left uncleaned and unattended. Apparently the staff was too busy (the place was nearly empty) too spare the one minute it takes to whip up a spill. So, in short, I may be back for the food, but if I will not be shy about requesting a new server if the one I had today gets my table again.

Went to Blueberry Hill Cafe on a Groupon deal with my family. Waited about 30 minutes to be seated and was ready for a pretty decent meal and unfortunately we were served a pretty underwhelming breakfast. I opted for the standard sausage omelet with hash browns and pancakes and my wife had the apple crepes. The sausage was pretty bland as was the hash browns. They seemed to be boiled and chopped potatoes that were put on a griddle and served with no seasoning at all. The sausage did not have any flavor and the pancakes had a hard shiny surface. The crepes were covered in a thick apple sauce and were pretty much inedible. We were bummed because we like trying out new places and this one while not horrible, it was just pretty forgettable. With Honey Jam and Juicy O right around the corner, you would think they would step up they game.

Went here for lunch today with some co-workers and all I can say is YUM! This location is new, the waitress said that it had only been open about 8 weeks and is very clean and modern looking. The breakfast options are so varied...so many choices and all sounded so good. I had an omelette with pancakes and thought it was really good, brought the leftovers home for my husband and he seemed to like them too. Will definitely go back as soon as I can.

I've been to one of their other locations in Homer Glen before heading to this one in Oak Brook. I can say that the one in Oak Brook is def more suited for the surrounding socioeconomic population...it's decked with a nice LED tv and more consciously decorated than the one in Homer. Menu is the same, and the food quality is similar. Prices are about what you would expect to pay outside of a Denny's or IHOP. Food comes pretty fast and the waiting staff makes you feel you need to come in and out. Food qualify-wise, I ordered the veggie omelette with pancakes. Omelette is satisfyingly packed with enough veggies and just the right amount of eggs to not overpower or exhaust your palate. Hash browns were lower quality, as they were burnt crispy in parts while mush in others. Pancakes were fresh and fluffy. Portions are generous. Fresh squeezed OJ was good, but nothing extraordinary. My wife got their veggie skillet and it was presented poorly. They plopped a mountain of scrambled eggs on top of the skillet. Too much eggs in proportion to the skillet. But outside of that, it was satisfying for her. Overall, you get what you pay for. Generous portions, above average food quality, and fast service.

eeeeewww! Lettuce in the omelette, burnt hamburgers and green peppers when not requested! Rude manager & slow kitchen! There are way better options! Don't forget to look at filtered reviews....this place is new and they filter out bad ones!

Great lunch spot! Terrific staff! Good, fresh food, wide selection, reasonably priced! I met 2 friends for lunch here and we were all very pleased. One of us asked for a salad that was a little different than what is on the menu and our waitress served it up without fuss. The fruit plate was tasty and attractive. Whatever we asked for, they happily fulfilled. My chicken wrap tasted great and the leftovers were nicely boxed for a pleasant snack to go. We'll be back.

Yum, yum, yum, yum! We visited Blueberry Hill yesterday for breakfast and my, oh my what a treat! First, upon entering we were greeted by the hostess and the manager. Super friendly, they then sat us immediately even though they were busy. Our waitress, Jessica was extremely friendly and helpful when we made a few special requests and since we had the little one with us she was super quick to bring him his milk. Okay, now to the food! Fresh squeezed OJ, awesome tea selections, and the menu was sure to please even the pickiest of people. I had a bacon, spinach and mozzarella egg white omelette that was light and fluffy and way too big! I only ate half. The small one had chocolate chip pancakes that were perfect sized for a 5 year old! The S.O. had one of the scramblers, and he too could not finish it. A visit from Santa Claus, a few more cups of tea and we were set for the day! A wonderful first time to a new place experience! Go, eat, but beware...bring your A-game appetite!

Not impressed whatsoever. Severely overpriced. Paid $8 for 4 pecan pancakes 5" in diameter with no sides included. I was expecting pancakes would be similar to Cracker Barrel where an abundance of pecans are stirred into the batter. Instead they simply sprinkle a table spoon of chopped up pecans on top of the pancakes and serve them with room temperature syrup. If I'm going to spend $8 for pecan pancakes, there better be a large stack of them each the size of my plate loaded with pecans served with warm syrup!!

Seriously won't be back. Heard this place was great, so okay, let's try it. First we are seated at a 20 inch round table that is already crowded with a condiment caddy, coffee cups and water glasses. Ordered eggs over easy, sausage links, Greek toast and fruit. And a side of potato pancakes because the menu said "Ours are the best you'll have" ( Or something to that effect). First, the waitress brought out the potato pancakes. And nothing else. 5 minutes later she brings my friends plate and says mine will be right up. 2 minutes later, it arrives. This is basic, serve all the food at the same time. By the time my food came, I had tasted the potato pancakes and they were soggy and greasy. Also, I got hash browns with my entrée instead of the fruit I ordered. So I tell her and she says oh yes you did order fruit so I'll go get that and I'll have them make you new potato pancakes. She brings the fruit and says where do you want me to put this as there is NO room on the table. Gee, I don't know. Maybe you should have bigger tables when you are serving full meals. Finally, I say why don't you take this coffee cup and the other water cup and the water pitcher and we are able to cram the fruit on to the table. Long story short, the pancakes came back exactly the same and sent I them back again. They did remove them from the bill. Eggs, burnt on the ends, raw in the middle. Sausage, looks and tastes like brown & serve. Hash browns, basically boiled potato's that are chopped and slapped on a grill for 30 seconds, no brown what so ever. The toast was burnt all around the edges and I could only eat the middle. It is pretty difficult in my opinion to screw up breakfast but they did a bang up job of it. Honey Jam, Dappers, Christi's - all blow this place away. $24 bucks with tip. Ridiculous.

We ate here on a Sunday at about 1pm, as you can imagine it was crowded, we were told a 10 -15 minute wait and it looked like it would be all of that. However we were seated in 5 minutes... yeah. She wanted lunch and I was hungry for some breakfast chow. She had a chicken wrap which she really enjoyed. The service was amazingly quick given how crowded the place was. Drinks came right out, food was up in no time. We were amazed how quickly and efficiently they took care of their diners. Really nice upscale atmosphere. I had the banana nut bread French toast, yum. All in all it was a really nice experience. Only down side was it took forever to pay at the cashier counter. I guess that's the bottle neck of getting people in, fed and then out came in. Prices are reasonable for the type of place it is and it's location.

I visited this place for breakfast this morning. Went very early when they opened. Waitress was nice, nothing spectacular but nice. I have a mocha latte. It was ok. I ordered the blueberry pancakes, eggs, hash browns and bacon. The best part was the bacon. The pancakes were dry even with the blueberry compote. Has browns were actually potatoes chopped but had no real flavor. I added salt and pepper. There was no other seasoning and again, they were dry. I left majority of my food there. I order my eggs scrambled well but I wasn't pleased. They should really do something about the lack of taste the food has. Not sure if I will go back and try something different.

So this is where the attitude of Oakbrook meets the attitude of nearby Lombard and the atmosphere matches well. Its not snooty, but it is classy. The menu options are plentiful and the food options are great. All of the breakfast options are great, come in good portions, and a made fresh. I would recommend you stay away from the fresh squeezed juices. I question how fresh mine was and the portion was really small for a lot of money. Other than that I am entirely satisfied.

Great Place to come and have breakfast with your family. This was my first visit here on this morning and all I can say is awesome. It was a bit crowded but we were seated immediately. My son ordered the skirt steak with eggs hash browns and it came with a side order of toast. I ordered the pork chops with eggs hash browns and a side of toast. O My Goodness these pork chops were a very decent sides for only $10.99. It was my son's bday weekend. It was amazing how they came over and song Happy Birthday To Him and we're so nice to bring him out a strawberry shortcake with lots of whip cream. Make sure to seat in Kinga section when you go to visit this place. She is amazing
